About

From as young as I can remember, I have always been 'animal mad' and was lucky enough to be surprised with riding lessons when I was 6 years old when my Mum 'accidentally' drove past the shop (we were supposed to have been going for some sweets).  She pulled in at a local horse riding school and it was then myself and my older Sister found out that we were being surprised with horse riding lessons.

I became instantly hooked, never missing a lesson in years, regardless of the Northern weather. At 14 years old I finally managed to persuade my Mum I was responsible enough to have my own horse, then at the age of 24, I wanted to add a Miniature Shetland Pony to my plans to have some fun with, which is when I fell in love with Gathanparc Apirka aka 'Ice'.  Her looks and temperament blew me away and my addiction started there....of course...you can never have 'just one' Shetland Pony........

Out stud is built on the foundations of true, quality Standard and Miniature Shetland Ponies breeding the best of bloodlines, bone, movement and temperament.  Our ponies are handled daily and looked after to a high standard and are very happy at the Stud.  Our foals are handled from birth and are given the best start in life possible making them user friendly and suitable for any discipline, whether it be to breed, show, ride, drive or just cuddle and relax with on a stressful day.  They are a versatile friend and our aim is to ensure that this is continued along with the bloodlines.

Many thanks to the friendship and support of my 'horsey' and Shetland friends whom I have been very fortunate to know.  The name of my Stud is based on the name of my Niece and is also in memory of my Granddad, Jack Ellis who supported me from the outset.  I have never seen a smile like his when he listened to my pony tales.
