Courellis Picturesque - Deposit Received
Penny.JPG

Dam: Wenlockedge Snow Princess

Sire: Wenlockedge Murphy

Miniature Filly born 24/03/2020

After a snowball of problems starting when Penny was being delivered, I am proud to say that this striking, upright filly is a full bill of health & complete trouble.  This filly & her Mum certainly kept me on my toes on the very cold morning of 24th March & had my heart racing but thank goodness we all pulled together & got each other through.

Penny needed a pretty name to suit her pretty head & Picturesque just seemed perfect for her.  She loves to show off & is very vocal & energetic.

One for the show ring, I am sure.

Courellis Delilah - Retained
Delilah in the grass.jpg

Dam: Kerryoak Daisy

Sire: Parlington Ulrik

Miniature Filly born 22/04/2020

Delilah was born on her Dam's Birthday & is a very stunning, petite filly.  Unfortunately, we had a multitude of diffiuculties during & after her birth. Daisy was incredibly overwhelmed & being a maiden mare, she did not accept her foal, therefore Delilah was bottle fed (now on replacement milk & limited suckles on Mum).  On top of this, Delilah was born with a soft pallet, contracted a severe chest infection & had to have a plasma transfusion.  She also contracted a water infection & was a severely poorly foal who despite all odds & concerns has proved a true fighter & is growing stronger with every day that passes.

Delilah is the sweetest, most innocent filly & has looks to die for.  She has been very special from the second she was born & I have a very good feeling about this little one.

Delilah would not be here today without the dedicated staff at Twemlows Stud,  Rose Cottage Vets & my Shetland friends who were taking calls from me at 3.30am & have been non stop guidance & support, as have other wonderful friends.  I will forever be grateful in helping to save the life of Delilah.

Courellis Thea - Deposit Received
Thea.JPG

Dam: Halstock Tiptop

Sire: Benstonholm Oasis

Miniature Filly born 22/04/2020

Thea was born 1 hour after Delilah & the admiration I had for her & her Dam Tiptop after an incredible, text book foaling will always stay with me.  Thea has remarkable bone & is strong & robust with the prettiest head & bold, coragious temperament.  She is a real true to type Shetland with incredable breeding & has a successful future waiting for her.

Courellis Captain Tom - Deposit Received

Dam: Oldaport Gladys

Sire: Parlington Ulrik

Miniature 11/05/2020

This stunning colt was born just yesterday morning.  After watching over Glady's through the night on the camera, the signs were there but the foal did not make an appearance.  Within hours of me turning her out she started to foal.  By the time I ran up the field I could see she was doing a great job and that everything was how it should be...text book, so I stood back and let her finish foaling without any interference.

Gladys is the most wonderful broodmare and always produces very smart, show stopping foals.  I am looking forward to seeing how this dapper young man unfolds.

Courellis Elsie - Retained
Elsie.JPG

Dam: Threapwood Elsa

Sire: Wells Masterclass

Standard 10/06/2020

Our one & only Standard foal & we are so lucky to have had the filly fairy visit on the morning she was born  Elsie was born 8 days after Elsa bagged & waxed up & was nearly 3 weeks overdue.  She is a very quirky foal who has her own independant mind.  This super filly really stands out in the field with her natural show stance & unbelievable presence & class.  She has outstanding breeding, good flat bone & is very powerful, strong & straight as they come.  I am over the moon with Elsie & look forward to showing her in 2021.

Courellis Katie - Retained

2019

Dam: Coedgleision Kitty

Sire:  South Sands Rhubarb

Miniature Cream Dun Filly born 26/06/2020

What a world record last foaling.  Kitty foaled 10 days early but with checking my mares daily, I was fully aware that foaling was commencing earlier than expected. Kitty began to foal at 3.30am & immediately, it was evident that there was a dystocia & the foal was stuck. Despite my best efforts to help deliver the foal, Kitty was too panicked to stay still for long so I called for the emergency vets.  Jen arrived 35 minutes after Kitty began to foal & had to sedate Kitty who was very stressed & causing herself more harm.  At 4.35am, a big, lifeless, stunning cream dun filly was born.  Her broad shoulders were stuck & she had one leg back.  We did not believe the foal would be alive after over one hour of trying to foal her & were desperate to save Kitty if nothing else.

Unbelievably & by some way of a miracle, Jen felt a little heartbeat.  We looked at each ther in complete disbelief & without delay, she vigorously rubbed the foal whoe took one huge breath & began to move.

Our little miracle filly is just perfect.  She has incredible bone, the sweetest head & is just perfect with her fantastic pedigree.  Luckily, Kitty had a fair amount of room inside & has suffered no internal trauma, the foal was simply a big foal in the wrong position & needed a little assistance.

Kitty is being the mos sensation maiden mum & adores her new baby. Needless to say, she is being retained. Better photos to come.

Courellis Dorothea - Retained
Courellis Dorothea

Dam: Threapwood Elsa

Sire: Threapwood Vulcan

Standard Black Filly born 29/04/2018

Dot was named after a very special friend of mine and was born at 12.21am on 29th April. Elsa was one week over due so foal was big and itching for freedom. Poor Elsa was exhausted & a little assistance was required easing foals hind legs out but Mum was absolutely fantastic throughout.

Dot is a very strong, very big filly who is full of attitude. Poor Elsa has her hooves full with this little one who cant help but bronch and gallop around the field for most of the day.  She is very special.

Courellis Dreamy & Delicious - Sold

2016

Courellis Drambuie - Sold
Courellis Drambuie 'Boo'

Dam: Pinglewood Sherry Baby

Sire: Corleyoak Bobby Dazzler

Miniature Buckskin Colt Born 17/04/2016

Boo was only hours old when he greeted me at Sherry's side on the morning of June 17th 2016.  His little gangley legs trying to keep up with Mum's pace & Mum tentatively holding back for her first born.  I knew as soon as I seen those grey eyes that he was what we ordered, a buckskin.

Like other Courellis foals, Boo was ever so confident & always up to no good instantaneously, pushing over wheel barrows, jumping on Mum & half Sister Doris & just loved being the centre of attention.

Boo has already proved himself as a foal taking 1st at the Red Rose Show & 2nd at Warrington County Show.  He was sold to a lovely home in Scotland to run on as a future stallion.

Courellis Dreamy and Delicious 'Dreamy'

Dam: Grutness Oreo

Sire: Ramper Elderberry

Standard Black Filly Born 29/04/2017

Dreamy was our one and only foal born in 2017, therefore was provided with undivided love & attention. Dreamy was super friendly and overly confident from the second that she was born and is such a pretty filly.

Dreamy was sold in December to be a best friend to 2 little sisters where her undivided love and attention continues. She was destined to be a child's pony from day dot.

Courellis Dishy Doris - Sold
Courellis Dishy Doris 'Doris'

Dam: Oldaport Gladys

Sire: Corleyoak Bobby Dazzler

Miniature Smokey Black Tobiano Filly 21/04/2016

Doris was born on the 20th June at 2.15 am.  I had just arrived back at the yard on a very cold night after returning back to foal watch & I could not have timed it any better.  Within 2 minutes, Gladys' waters had broken & along came 2 teeny little hooves followed by an unusual silver coloured head.

Doris has a high head carriage and she really can move!  It was a proud moment when she took 3rd place behind her brother Boo at Warrington County Show in 2016 & took 2nd place at Shropshire County Show in 2017.

This little poppet now lives in East Sussex where she is loved to pieces.  The last photo I received from new owner Julie was of Doris trying to steal her pint in their local pub where Doris is somewhat of a star

Courellis Danifandango - Sold
29-5-18-5507.jpg

Dam: Gathanparc Apirka

Sire: Halvilla Duke

Miniature Chestnut Filly 21/06/2015

Ice decided to deliver Dani on the one & only day I was hoping she would not.  There was no sign of little feet at 8.05am before enjoying a glorious morning showing at Warrington County Show. The show is a stones throw from us & me & the ponies had a very successful day but I had a feeling i needed to get home.......as soon as I pulled up with the trailer at 12.20pm, my eyes did not deceive me.  There she was a perfect but petite little girl, still trying to gain her balance & nearly completely dry in the scorching sun but what gave it away that she had not long been born were the few patches of wet & blood just drying off in phenomenal heat.

Dani was Ice's first foal & Ice had bagged up so much that her teats had completely disappeared in to her udder.  A vet was called after I tried all I could & the vet was there within what felt like minutes, I knew I had to get some colostrum in to this precious girl & not knowing exactly when she was born & battling in the heat wave, time was against us.  Very slowly but surely, Ice's milk was expressed in to a bottle & Dani ever so willingly took the milk, a huge sigh of relief was heard all around.  Ice was frantically spinning around every time I tried to show Dani where the milk bar was, knocking me over & was so anxious when she see lost sight of Dani.  I continued to bottle feed Dani for the rest of the afternoon & evening.  At 11pm that same night, Ice settled & allowed her baby to feed.

Despite a hair raising start to life, Dani grew to be a strong, stocky filly with a temperament to match.  She is as beautiful as her Dam & is now causing mischief in the IOM with her best friend Jack & her wonderful new owner Linda who is a credit to 'our babies'.
